Happy [insert # here] Birthday Baby!

I love that we count a newborn's age by week, generally up to 12 weeks or about 3 months. And if you count months one, two and three, which mothers do, of course, that means 15 birthdays in just three months. What a deal!

But, you know, baby gets yummy sweet milk any time he wants, so he doesn't really need cake or gifts. And, really, after those 41 weeks of cooking this cute kid and hours of intense, painful labor to get him out of the oven and every waking and sleeping hour spent feeding, burping, changing, bouncing, soothing him - these 15 birthdays really should be special days of honoring MOM with cake and gifts. Oh, and ice cream, too. Can't forget the ice cream.

What do you think? Anyone agree with me?

Now, it's just a matter of getting baby - and daddy - to cooperate.

I hope you guys had a great celebration for Pedro Jr's birthday :) Yes, I believe mom's need parties, no doubt about it. Now let Kyle know that and we'll be set :)

I'm with you, girlie! We moms deserve LOTS of treats! I was just thinking about this "mommy mathe" the other day. For the first, maybe, three weeks, I knew without thinking how many days old Melissa was. Then I switched over to weeks, until about three months. Now I count by months. For how long? Maybe until she's 30 months, when I can switch to "two and a half" ... :o)

Oops, that was supposed to be "math", not "mathe". Proud college grad here!!!
